DUBLIN, IRELAND

Cliffs are also very common in the Irish landscapes. As seen in the picture on the left, these panoramic views are impressing, even with a cloudy day. You better not miss them or you will miss part of the essence of Ireland.

Ireland. Green is the first image that comes to your mind when thinking of Ireland. Green landscapes and green clovers. We arrived to Dublin at 13pm. Nice weather welcomed us, which is not common in Ireland. We had good luck and our trip couldn't start better.

Are you looking for entertainment in Dublin? Here are some ideas; the district of Temple Bar is full of pubs where you can enjoy Irish traditional beers and food. In those pubs normally live traditional Irish music is played.

Temple Bar District is nice during the day, but in my opinion it is a good area for nightlife. Streets are full of lights and there is a nice atmosphere. Very important, to enter in a pub in the evening, you have to be over 18!

If you have enough time, visit a little village next to the sea, called Howth. You won't regret it! From the central bus station, bus 31 or 31a will take you to this wonderful little village. Drive with the bus until the station -Howth Summit- and take a little walk to have nice views over the cliffs and the lighthouse of Howth.

Afterwards, we walked toward the village and toke an Irish beer with some Oysters, typical Irish, you will enjoy it!

Phoenix Park is Europe's largest park and encompasses 707 hectares. It is 5km away from Dublin center, approximately a 30 minutes walk. When the day is sunny, a picnic in a nice spot is perfect. There is the possibility of seeing deers, you have to be a bit lucky but if you are, you'll be able to spend some time with this adorable criatures as we were able to do.

Cliffs of Moher

One thing you should not miss when visiting Ireland is going to The Cliffs of Moher. These are one of the most famous cliffs of Ireland. The Cliffs of Moher are located in the east of Ireland. The trip form Dublin to the cliffs is approximately from 3 hours. What we did was staying one night in Galway, which is the closest city and is 2 hours away from it.

It is a curvy way to become there but it is highly recomendable. Its stunning cliffs with a height of 214 meters are breathtaking. I recommend to go there very early (I took a bus at 8 am from Galway) and have lunch there at some nice prepared picnic tables. Another hint is to take confortable shoes and warm clothes, it gets windy over there!

Eat and drink

Fish and chips. What would be more typical for Ireland than fish and chips. This needs to be obviously accompanied with a typical Irish beer, such as a Guinness. The best fish and chips of Dublin is in Church Pub, and costs around 20€.

Dublin is an expensive city, and when it comes to eat and drink, even more. A beer can cost around 7€ in Temple Bar district.
